Turtle IslandTurtle Island is one of the leading recycling and waste management companies in Ontario. Established in 1990 by entrepreneurs Ted Manziaris and Louis Anagnostakos, Turtle Island now employs over 250 people and services over 2,000 industrial and commercial customers and over 220,000 residential customers and growing. The operations of Turtle Island as well as its main transfer station are located in a 60,000 square foot facility in downtown Toronto.  Turtle Island now operates facilities in Aurora, Chatham/Windsor and Caledon/Orangeville, Ontario.

Turtle Island provides waste and recycling services to municipalities and residential customers as well as waste management, recycling and material recovery, product destruction, demolition services and confidential shredding services to industrial and commercial customers. Waste management consulting and audit services are also provided to customers with the aim of avoiding waste generation where possible and increasing the level of material recycled.

Turtle Island owns a significant interest in EIL Environmental, a hazardous waste recycling business located in Edmonton, Alberta.
